Can't Decide!!! HELP!

Okay, for the past week I've been trying to decide if I want to buy deadener (rammatt, or dynamat) and deaden the trunk and front doors of my 2006 civic sedan myself or have a shop do it for me. I've been to 2 different shops to get quotes. One said $270 for the dynamat extreme bulk pack , and $130 for the install. The other shop was about $5 off that. However, I found the dynamat bulk pack for $135 shipped (compared to the $270 at shops) online and we all know rammatt's price. I could afford it, although I'd have to watch my spending for the next few weeks.

I don't want this to be a debate over which kind of deadener I should use. My delimma is that I don't know if I really want to do this myself, or just pay for someone to do it for me. I don't want to go into a shop with internet ordered deadener and ask them to install it for the $130, because more than likely they're going to be pissed. Have any of you ordered online and gotten it installed? How much was it? What would be your advice to me. I'm a DIY'er. I installed everything in my previous car, but I just hear that deadener is a PITA and takes forever. Time, I do not have. Especially considering it's about 95 degrees w/80% humidity. I'm going nuts trying to decide. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

is your ride noisey? do you hear the wind and road A LOT or is it a resonably quiet ride ? if its a reasonably quiet ride i say forget deadening it. if its a noisey ride then deaden everything.what year and model car is it? and you should ask your installer how much they want to install material if you buy it on line, it doesnt hurt to ask! if they are chitty about you asking then you dont want to use them anyway.,,,for anything.

I bought some roofing deadner at an ACME supply store for 30 bucks its like 90+ sq ft. Shit is real thick like 80 mils. Its just like dynamat extreme but requires that you use a heat gun to install it. Go check your local Acme store or ace hardware store. Just tell em your looking for roofing stuff and they can point you in the right direction.

Works great, no smell, and withstands tons of heat, plus its cheap.

There is a shop in town that post typical install prices if you buy from them, and install prices if you purchase over the internet. Prices are nearly 3X more if you don't buy from them.
