I've been researching what subs to get for a good amount of time, and it seems every week i change my mind after reading more and more things, im giving up hope that their is the perfect sub out there for me haha, i dont think i want to drop more than 1200 on subs and an amp, becuase i still need money for new speakers and amps for those speakers, but i keep changing my mind from two 12's to one sick jl audio 13 w7, to alpine type x's but then i realized i couldnt afford to power those, and essentially i have no idea where to start for what i want...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

well, it would help if i knew what spl and sql were probably hahah, i know i want good SQ and i want to be able to show off and be loud if i want, but when im just using it for me i want it to sound good, and be enjoyable, yet again though i want it to slam like no other, its going in the back of an extended cab truck if that helps

Two Alpine Type X 10s/12s and 2 MRD-M1005s will cost you less than $1200. I got my SWX-1043D for $205 shipped BNIB and my MRD-M1005 for $225 shipped BNIB (I realize the amp was a steal but can still be found for $300 shipped every day of the week). Multiply that x2 and you're at $1050, leaving plenty for a nice box. Can't go wrong with the X's in my opinion.

i dont know the exact specs for room, but i know i can fit a pretty large box, space isnt too much of a concern for me at this point

i think another problem might be the fact that i dont know a shitload about everything, especially what are considered good brands and stuff, so when you say Oz Matrix elite, i have no idea what that means, hahah sorry, noob.
