Don't knock on good bands (aka be a bandwagon ***) They are amazing musicians (not to take anything away from Slipknot) and their music absolutely rocks in good systems. Keyboardist is breathtakingly talented

dont fyi me son i never said mushroomhead came after slipknot im just saying both are the same and both are the jokes of the metal world. im sure youre one of those guys that listens to slipknot and disturbed and crap and thinks hes so hardcore maybe even wears a little makeup? eh sweetie? do ya? learn to play an instrument then get good at it. then go thru a couple bands play a bunch of shows, discuss music with other musicians then come back and ull agree that they have no talent.

yeah duh. the best music there is is classic rock but those wanna be bands are annoying. emmure is good. as i lay dying is christian (bet you didnt know that..has nothing to do with good or not just sayin) theres a big difference between hating to seem cool and hating because what you hate is not cool at all. i hate bandwagoneers, those who go omgeee thats so hardcore and the picture on the album is kkkkeeeewwwwlll and everyone likes them omgeeee i love them now. i hate mainstream. pop culture has permeated the wall into metal and all of this crap is the result. as a rule tho...i tend to like things less when everyone else jumps on and says how awesome it is because then it commercializes (like almost every band ever) and it is not what it was.

I think you're listening to the wrong rap then. Rap used to be all about the lyrics and ability to make the listener visualize their words (to a good beat too obviously), and there's still several good artists new and old out who do that. Kid cudi, aesop rock, count bass d, etc

Also hating artists who are popular/mainstream just because their mainstream is ridiculous and is on par with goth/emo kids in high schools who are goth/emo because they do not want to "conform to cliques" and by doing so they conform to cliques. I like big artists and small artists, bob dylan, old crow medicine show, deadmau5, bassnectar, tiesto, three 6 mafia, dr dre, townes van zandt, immortal technique (most dark rapper i've heard IMO)

Music is music, the music matters, why does it matter how many people like them? If it sounds good rock it, if not listen to something else, thats what really matters

i agree with this. and what i mean is. i dont dislike all mainstream music. i just dislike them when they werent mainstream and meant something then commercialized and sold out.
