How the eff do you turn a 12" sub into a 15? Wouldn't you need a new basket and everything? I don't know much about the inner workings of a sub, but to me that doesn't seem like it would work. Even if it does work somehow, why not just buy a 15 instead of dropping all that money to turn a 12 into one?

yeah when you would need a new basket and obviously a bigger recone. normally lots of people up sizes on the drivers that use a 12 spoke classic basket becuase they seem to be the easiest to recone. im sure the mx isnt all that bad too recone but it sure as hell isnt easy i bet. cause if nJizm is scarred(loosely speaking) to touch it for recone then you gotta know it cant be all that easy.
