Finding parts might be hard to do. Try PMing TeamPSI or email fi/re/audioque/Incriminator audio. It depends alot on what size coil you need, what size spiders and what type of basket it is. If its possible that a 12 spoke basket will bolt up that may help. Also on a side note, kinda looks like a small MJ-18

hmmm okay thanks man. its a DVC4 right now..i was kinda hoping i could keep the same basket and just add softparts or somthin. dont know alot about re-coning and all that shiit ..hopin someone can help me out wit some info or even a solution lol

do you have a place[store] to get the sub reconed?

if not.... your looking at the very least $100 to get it reconed with more power , then you gotta factor in shipping a heavy item and then paying to get it shipped back.

after that you gotta consider that now you changed the guts of the sub so the old box building specs might not sound good.

the sub was built with specific power specs by design

you are better off getting a new sub that can handle what you want.

A person can do a recone at home. Need shims and CA glue with some knowledge.

for the most part, power handling is mainly a function of the motor.

different soft parts can allow higher power handling, but if you are really looking for something that can handle more power, you should PM me about a pair of 12's that ill be selling soon, that can take 1200w daily no problem.

I can get parts for those subs, no problem...

But increasing the size of the coil has two catches.. a longer wind will reduce the amount of excursion you have before the coil hits the backplate, and you will have less clearence in the gap..

I'd have to see the them to tell you if a coil with a longer and thicker wrap will fit.. but you can generally beef a sub up a bit.. maybe 20% or so..

not worth it for the most part imo../..
good sales pitch;) . and im curious if i could do it myself with a some paitence that i probably dont have lol.

the coil hitting the back plate , like bouncing back instead of being pulled back type of thing? thanks for the info
