For a sealed box in a crew cab/double cab pickup truck, what is generally a better subwoofer placement for optimum acoustics?
The sub driver centered behind the back seat?
Or the sub driver offset to one side?
In either case, the cone will need to face the front of the cab.
Unfortunately, I can't build the enclosure and then play around with the position after the box is built to see what works best, because due to space limitations the box design itself will depend on the optimum sub location.
So...trying to plan ahead, what would be a better bet?
Or doesn't it much matter with a sealed box?
Here's some sketches to illustrate my options:
