Can the box make this big of a difference?

OK Right now i have one 1242 Type R 12 and a 750wRMS Kenwood at 2 omhs pushing it with 4 guage power and a larger diesel alty. I plan on selling the setup with a trunk box to a kid for 350 installed with power and rcas supplied by me. BUt Im wondering if i had made a mistake bcause my furtirbe plan after getting 350 for selling the setup was to get either two 15"CVR dual 2ohms and run an ED Nine.1 at .5 ohm cause i got a spool of 2/0 (larger than one-ott wire) for power ground and big 3. I plan to put these in a 4 ft each side Net enclosure tuned to 34hz. I also plan on spending an additional 150$ for components to hook to my autotek amp. I just replaced the carputer with a JVC 5volt color OEL type graphic display and parametric equalizer (240 internet retail, got it from a shop at a car show with auth. warranty for 150 bnrand new)

THe main quuestion is am I making a mistake by getting the two CVR's (xmax is only 13mm and rms os 500 each they say the L7's are 17-20 i dont acutally see L7's moving very far with 1000watts. SHoudl i try soemthign else like two type r 12's or wqhat? I have room for anyghting and about 1700RMS for power.

X-max and power rating are not everything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Thinking a 12" type-r can be louder than two 15" CVR's is well...

IMO the 350 would be well spent on a Sound splinter RL-p ran on the 9.1 rather than the CVR's.

But they will get loud:)

Ok my sub budget is about 260$ I can get a NEw 15"type R dual 2. No my type R doesnt pound extremely loud cuz my amps only at 2ohms. Anyways I only paid 50$ for the sub. Which would be best for me?

10ft Gross available.

Two 12" Type R's w/Nine.1 @.5ohm

One 15" Type R w/Nine.1 at 1 hom (1400RMS)

15"L7 W/nine.1 @1ohm.

ANY Reccomendations

( have a 5 volt deck, amped components, sound deadaning, huge power wire and big 3 with large alt.)

Id hope to hit at least 144 on the new TL

Whats the retail on that soundsplinter?

Thanks

6-700watts true Xmax RMS when i have 15-1800RMS avialable? I think we can do better.

although the xmax is 24.5mm thats decent.

Any specific examples of its capability?

What about eclipse offerings? 12's or a 15 Ti?"

Stop worying about the darned power rating. In the correct box an RL-p can take over 1000 watts.

You seem to judge equipment on listed power and xmax. STOP. I would take an RL-p over a type-r or cvr any day!

Eclipse drivers are great also. But look in to who makes Eclipse and Soundsplinter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Are you just pulling stuff out of your ***? "2/0 (larger than one-ott wire)" uh...no; and wtf is "6-700watts true Xmax RMS"...Get a 15" RLP and run it off the Ed 9.1 and you'll be happy.

My wire is 2/0 not 2awg. the size increases from 4awg,2awg,1/0,2/0,3/0,4/0 which is much larger than the common 1/0) I know it wont be at 1500 daily but any other amp that benches 1500RMS cost considerably more w/o a warranty. No amp that benches 1500 will put out 1500 daily its just a rating for amps. The soundsplinter website states right in the specs and description that it reaches X-max with 6-700wattsRMS I just dont think sending even 1300w would be safe.

anyways

any other reccomendations that will beat out 1 15"Type R or 2 12's with 10ft and 1500watts? for 260$shipped
