Can sound deadener go here?

So my door panels rattle pretty bad, so would a liquid or even conventional sound deadener be able to be put on there, with probably some closed cell foam applied over that? It is just so annoying to hear my mids rattle my door panels.

Cool, looks like I am putting some sludge **** then some closed cell foam on it after christmas

I have used sludge on all my door panels and it works like a charm then i put rattle pad on the edges where the door meets the panel. I used 2 sheets of rattle pad and covered all 4 doors and trunk thing on a tahoe. Its all about strategic placement. It was night and day.

The closed cell foam is a lot more important than the vibration damper. Also be aware that most liquid/paste formulations aren't designed for application to plastic without a plastic to latex primer.
