Can some one explain amps crossovers...

Hi there If I would do a ported enclosure what type of mapwould I need and what are the difference in: variable low-pass filter or crossover, subsonic filter and infrasonic filter...

variable low-pass = eliminates the high frequencys from going to the subs (a crossover just eliminates the Hz you dont want in that signal)

subsonic filter = ****, cant remember how to word it. basicly eliminates harmonics i think in the signal. these harmonics can hurt the subs

infrasconic filter = no idea. all i know is you use them for ported enclosures (which is why i dont know about em //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ). read the manual that came with your amp. it should tell you.
