Can Pioneer AVIC-Z3 charge an Itouch?

I was told that the Z3 cannot charge an Itouch and has limited Itouch functionality because it is not G3 capable.

Is this true?

An "iTouch" isn't 3G. It's not a phone.

You need a Scosche IFWA, and it will charge. Functionality should be otherwise the same.

What is a Scosche IFWA and will I get complete functionality with ITouch (play, pause, skip, playlists etc.)?
