Can one beefy 15" get louder than two SA12's?

I say try the 15 out, if you dont like it sell it. Like one guy said this is the age old question, cone area vs power/motor force. This is the beauty of the car audio world, there are so many variables that influence the results, car type, enclosure, sub, amp etc. Everyones perception of loud is different. Some guys dont consider you being loud unless you are doing 147+ on the termlab. Others like to hear or feel the bass, and could care less about what it metered. You never know what "you" like untill you try it.

Short answer is yes. Then again some box building may get you more ouptut out of your current setup too.

I'm really satisfied with my current setup, just a few problems like my RCA's always come out at high volume, can't find a proper place to mount the amp so it's screwed into the top of the box with two screws.

I just want to experiment with other subs/amps like I said. So if anyone would like to trade for my SA12's or Hifonics BRZ1700 let me know... I can also add cash.
