Can I wire my 4 ohm sub to 2 ohms?

My question is can I wire my 4 ohm Type-R to a 2 ohm load or will this blow it? Thanks ahead of time.

If your Type R has dual 4ohm voice coils...yes, you can wire the coils in parallel for a 2ohm load.

This is, ofcourse, also assuming you only have one Type R.

if it is a single 4 ohm coil, that is it, if it is dual 4, you can...it is all up to your amp after that.
