As far as I know Marines are deep cycle which is pretty similar if not the same as some of the popular mobile audio batteries.

Sure can..Iuse dual post AGM batteries..I have been looking at an Excide marine battery for my neighbors truck that Academy sells here for like $99.99,bt only comes with a 1 yr warranty:crap:

Like others have said....it's totally fine. They usually are deep cycle and have thread posts which make adding aftermarket amp wiring easier.
