can i go bandpass

i have two brand new rockford fosgate punch hx2 15 inch woofer, and i was just wondering if i could banpass them if so could you please tell the proper box volume

Yes you can go bandpass but why would you want to? If anything I would suggest a ported box, however with a 15" sub I would recommend a sealed enclosure. A sealed enclosure gives a more stable environment for the sub and therefor gives you a much cleaner sound. Bandpass is designed to cut out certain frequencies and if made incorrectly in size or angle etc....can sound very nasty and ruin any point in buying a good subwoofer. Ported allows you to have more Db level but at a loss of an amount of sound quality. Make your choice from there. Hope I was of some help.

Just kidding. Put those SOB's in a ported box. Alaxan's right, bandpass really *****. Being that you're 15 years old, I'll guess that you want it super loud, right? Well, yes bandpass is loud, it's only loud through a few frequncies of bass. Listen to one of your buddies cars that has a bandpass enclosure in it. Notice how some bass tones are a lot louder that others? Well, port will play MORE of those bass tones louder. Good Luck!

I agree with the above ^^ Definetly go ported, considering RF sounds like farts anyways...lol
