Can I get away with a processor?

I have an '05 TSX with navi. I kind of like the way the dash looks all factory. I'm going to be running a single 1508 pushed by a JBL GTO601.1II for a little bass and to save trunk room (I really don't need or want anything more than that) my front stage will be dls up6i's pushed by a Cadence iA4 and I will keep factory to HU for rear fill. Could I leave the factory HU and just go with a cleansweep or something?

You could use a Cleansweep, or if you really want to tune the system with EQ the RF 3Sixty.1 or .2 (twice the EQ) would be a better choice.

Rich, will that setup sound better with just an aftermarket HU than it would with a cleansweep and factory HU? Or is there no way of knowing that? I'm really new to procs as I've always had an aftermarket HU because I've never had factory navi before.

If its setup right it should sound better, but if you're going to install it yourself the additional EQ might actually be hard to master if you dont have much experience using EQ's.

The 3 Sixty.2 uses parametric EQ's, which really needs either to be professionally installed or a lot of patience tweaking it.

(And it also has Bluetooth to use a PDA as a remote control, so theres an additional cost.)

The 3 Sixty.1 only has dual 15 band regular EQ's (much like the old slider kind most people are familiar with), and that might be the better trade off between the simple Cleansweep and something with enough EQ to help improve the sound.

So basically If I were only to get one thing an aftermarket HU would be the best option if installed correct? Since I want to keep the factory my best option is the 3 sixty.2 (which I can't afford) so my next best option is the 3 sixty.1 which is > the cleansweep? Did I understand you correctly?

I'd say go with the 3sixty.2. Clean sweep is nice, but the extra features and tunability of the 3sixty make it worth the cost (maybe another $100 over a cleansweep at most).
