Can I fix it myself?

here's the thing I have a 500 watt Visonik amp and yesterday I finally got it hooked back up after my CD player was stolen. I turned it up and about a minute later I smelled something burning. I opened my trunk and a huge puff of smoke came out. I took the amp apart and a black thing covered by a heat sink was fried. On that black thing(I think it's a transistor) said

"IRFZ 44N

I(a triangle on a upsidedown cross)R 238G

3B 07"

here's a picture of the black thing http://forums.caraudio.com/vg/showimage.php?i=4888&c=3059

Is it possible to buy just this and replace it? Where can I buy it? All my extra cash is going into my restoration project so buying a new amp is not a possibility.

PLEASE HELP!!

yes, its quite easy to repair that, but you will need to find that EXACT part.

R 238G 3B 07 - take the amp to radioshack (or someone who knows electricity) and tell them you need that part.

the only problem is getting ONE (not 1000 in bulk) last week there was a thread about this, and good place to get them was listed, but i cant remember the link...

Req - looking for MOSFETs at RatShack? Thought you knew better than that...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
