can i change the tuning of the s12l7 spl box in kickers manual

ok im gonna build the box that kicker gives in the manual, the biggest one spl/deep bass i think its called.... but i heard its tuned kinda high... is there a way i can change the frequency to which its tuned? i assume i can just shorten or length'en the port board but i dont know so im asking... thanks!

a port plug is a piece that goes over the port to make the port a different size thus changing the frequency. used alot for competitors who also use their cars as daily drivers. put the plug on for daily driving and take it off for competitions.

just lengthen your port an inch or 2 depending on how much you want it to drop....plugging your port looks ghetto

not if done right. Ive seen port plugs that were finished to look pretty **** good.
