Can Anyone Spot Errors In This Install?

i have seen much worse installs..... i mean its not the cleanest but not everyone does an install to impress a car audio forum.... i mean he is probably sitting on the other side of the fence laughing saying "Man i might not have the loudest or best sounding system money can buy but i only spent $250 and it does good enough meanwhile that ******* who came and took pictures to make fun of me has spent thousands and still isnt happy with his setup even though it plays louder then you can listen to it at and is just as clear as mine since you cant even hear the music from all the bass that does nothing but piss people off and massage the seats...." i mean its not a terable install.... i have seen shops do worse. If it was the tree trunk subbox thats another story.... but this is just a normal every day looking younger non rich person who wants a daily ok sounding setup, setup....

its not about the sound. nothing to do with it. but the way he INSTALLED everything. i dont bash on people who dont have a nice system. Its just the way it was installed is what im getting at.

Ill agree that it isnt a clean install etc... it looks like he intended to do a nice job though doesnt look like the worst wireing in the world i mean it isnt speaker wire... he is just learning... How old is this person and did you give him any pointers or information that might help him out ? I tend to do real nice clean isntalls myself but when i see threads with a pic like this in it i think ****... that looks like something i would of been doing in the early 90's... I'm sure if he came on here and saw the thread his feelings would be hurt and he would feel insulted.... While it wasnt a complete hostile thread it wasnt exactly a nice one...

yea dont worry i gave him pointers, told him power + ground have to be the same gauge wire, along with questions about the box. Cant do much about that. told him about his grounds. helped him with a ton of things. he's 19.

What I spotted aside from the obvious mentioned already, is that the seat has a solid bottom on it and now it is going to be sitting right tight against the port and the area around the sub as it is at the same level by the looks of the pictures. Good luck with any output from the subs, best be leaving the seat up.

i am going to take pics of my buddy's install. he thought he knew how to wire it all and it does work, but he ran 6ga from pos. term. on batt. to 12v. 6ga from neg. term on batt. to ground, remote wire from pos. term on batt to remote on amp. and i didnt really have time to inspect it but i swear there were 2 maybe 3 sets of speaker wire when he only has 1 jensen 12". I offered to redo it for him and he agreed, but never has wanted me to do it yet. If he comes and asks me to redo it ill take before and after pics.!!!

not as bad as my freind who had his 2 channel amp bridged powering 2 tweets. He still wont beleive me this is killing his sq and prolly his tweets

everypost you have is in this one thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i really dont see anything wrong with it, not everyone can spend all day on a computer researching how to wire an amp with same size wires

for him, prolly bought the kit from wally world, the ground wire came like that, if it works, i bet 50$ he is happy

this thread gets a F grade, i know everyone has seen a bad install before, this is really nothing, i see more wrong with the name of his sub than the install almost

what's the problem with grounding an amplifier with a smaller guage than the power wire? (sorry i'm a newb and was actually told by a few people there was no problem with this)
