Can anybody recone a type X?

^ as josh said the type x basket used 2 different sized spiders that is a big no no cause 1 gets worked harder than the other. this sub was built for sql not spl even though its a banger...

I'm not finding anything on a recone kit for a xw10d4 where can I b done and what are the best upgrades?

You are asking questions on a 15 year old thread to people who haven’t logged in on this forum in years.
To answer your question, some subwoofers are just not built to be repairable. Alpine doesn’t want you to rebuild your subwoofer. They want you to buy a new one from them. Unfortunately, the best use for a blown type X is as a target the next time you go shooting.
