Handle an 800 watt amp if the gains are turned down... Also i've looke don the Adire site, but I didn't see a clear answer to the best box set up for 2 12" shivas...

My friend has a vented 4 cu. ft box tuned to 34htz laying around I can take... It fits 2 12"s

if you use the gain setting tutorial and set the gains low, you should be ok.. just be carefule and use common sense.

Should I wire them in parallel? They are DVC 8 ohms for a final of 4 ohms I believe...

if the amp puts out 800 @2ohms it should be nice, if it's rated at 1ohm you won't get full power. wiring the voice coils on each driver in parallel should get you at 2ohms with 2 shivas.

For a Shiva, anything higher than 400 watts sends it into power compression.

I have read that, I obviously wouldn't turn the gains past 75 percent... There are people that have Shivas running on JBL 1200.1's no problem.

Also will they sound decent in the box I described above?

That specific box will make sound. I have no experience with Shivas, so all I can say is try it. It's not like the wrong box is going to automatically kill a sub, unless you're really tryin' to kill it in the first place. The worst it could do is sound bad.

is that amp 800w RMS at 2 ohms? getting 400w in 2cu ft is going to be a bit much... but try it out and keep the gains low

Im thinking about selling the 800.2 for a 600.1... Would you think that is the best idea?
