I got a Koda 8 in the mail today.

Today I got a Koda 8 in the mail. It was one of the two new Koda 8's available in the country as far as I know for sale. I took some pictures of it for your enjoyment, and also to promote my project log thread. The other Koda is on it's way to me.

Look it matches up exactly with the bookshelf speaker!

What an improvement.

This will be the temporary home of my Koda 8, until it gets warm out and I have the chance to learn how to glass. Then the Koda's will find their way to my doors:

I'll get the biggest glassed enclosure I can fit in there for optimum response.

By new I meant new in box. Koda and every dealer I called was out of stock, except DIYCable, who had one of them, and knew where a second one was.

I got the other Koda today. I put them into the bookshelf set, and plugged the holes with dishrags. They sound good, but they arent highpassed at all and they have a lowpass of about 5khz, i would assume, because they are 4 ohm midbass on a crossover that was designed for a 8 ohms midwoofer. Oh well, I'll live with them until fiberglassing.

oh come on, they're not in the car! i only set them in there in the bookshelf enclosures to test for a few hours last night.

... well, since they're still set up to go in the car, i'll do it sometime in the next three days.

alright alright, i'll do some pr0n0gr4phy for y'all when I get home from school today. It will be like an hour from now, then about 10 minutes to set up, then pics MIGHT be transferred by 3:00 (have to do my taxes), and PROBABLY before 4:30 (have to go to work). and DEFINITELY by 1:00AM (when I go to sleep)
