If you don't like either of those amps, go for it. I wouldn't or the simple reason that when you smoke one of them they can't be replaced. Notice I said "when," not "if."

The 2075 is rated at 4 ohm bridged, I probably wouldn't recommend it.

no they are not!you will toast that amp.the hifonics too.

You could try to get them repaired but if the board is damaged or one of the transformers damaged, you aren't getting it fixed. You can't get a new board and good luck finding a replacement transformer.

ok, not going to try...found out my subs aregoing to be a 4ohm bridged load, perfect!

They weren't horribly underrated from what I recall.

So realistically you are looking to get right around rated power out of it.

They were very close on the power ratings for the AM series that you have (not Art Series). The Art series did a little more power (though not much).

So, just to clarify, if you bridge a 2075AM it's still running at 4 ohms? Sorry for the newb question, but when it comes to electrical stuff I'm an idiot.

2075 is rated at 12v. So you will see plenty more power than advertised. Great old amps!

2075 is rated at 12v.

They also had a very tightly regulated power supply and didn't increase power appreciably with higher voltage.
