so i have came up with my own design for an enclosure, i would like to know what you all think. this is my first attempt at designing a box, but hopefully it's not too off. i just need to make sure all my numbers are going to come out correct and what frequency this box would be tuned for, i don't really know the math to figure this kind of stuff out, but hopefully you guys can help me. let me know what you all think.

so you just came up with a random port length?://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

no, it is for 12 inch subs, the holes are oval to represent the depth of the box. the design is based off of another enclosure i found, but modified for four 12's. pic should be a little easier to read.

as far as the frequency, i know the frequency of the original design, but i modified it to have more room for the extra set of 12's , which changed the dimensions of the port. i kept the same height, initial length back from port opening, and the same width through out, but the internal cu. ft. changed and the length of the port running down the back has changed. this is where i don't know the math to make the adjustments i need to figure out what frequency it changed to.

Do you know the net displacement and tuning for each chamber, or is that what your asking us for?

What subs are you thinking of for the box?

Edit, you do not appear to have a consistent port width. It starts at 2.87, then 3.75, then 3.25; that

won't work.

basically what i am asking if for you guys to help me correct my design to make it something that will actually work. let me know what i need to change and i will try and modify it to become something i can actually build.

the subs being used for this are four JL Audio W3's.

So you took a box designed for two subs and made it fit 4 subs by redoing the port?? So basically your box is not big enough and your port length/width is all screwed up?? Your best bet would be to contact a member on here who builds boxes and they can design one for you that will be the correct air space and tunning for those subs.
