camaro audio system ***need help***

I have a 2000 Chevy Camaro Z28 and it has the monsoon sound system in it. 2 of the speakers are blown and it sounds like crap. I want to replace all the speakers and hook up 2 10" subs with an amp. I was thinking about making the system all Infinity (speakers / subs / amp). I would like to put 2 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect dual 4 ohms in a t-top box from (http://www.subthump.com). I would like the mono-amp to be Infinity, but i have no idea which one i need to power the subs. What kind of infinity speakers should i get? What do you guys recommend? Money is not a problem.

You cannot just replace the speakers in that Monsoon system, the amp sends active amplified signals to all 4 speakers so there are 16 leads coming out of it. You would need speakers that are bi-ampable so you could run the tweeter lead to the tweeter and the woofer lead to the woofer at all 4 positions the signals are pre crossed over at the amp.

I am assuming of course that your plan is to maintain the Monsoon system and add subwoofers.

If that system is the same as the one I had in my 2001 Grand Am GT even if you replace the head unit you have to have a special harness and keep the radio in the back of the car because it is integrated into the functioning of the car which was really messed up. I hope that yours is not the same way.

definately replace the factory HU with an aftermarket, Monsoon doesn't like being mated with aftermarket equipment.
