First off I want to thank Derek for showing me the best time I have ever had on a trip. You are the best man. Second for those of you that may no know, I was flown to California Orange County for a install on a 370z. I have to say it was simply awesome. Also for those of you looking to upgrade your front speakers and think you are limited to a few speakers. Your not! the spacer rings that z closures makes can be used over top of the existing plastic spacer already there. So without further a due here is the install! Enjoy and please feel free to comment and ask questions.

Door panels off

This is why factory is no good LOL

IMG_6039.jpg

The ID cxs components the woofers need 3 inches of clearance for the magnet.

Using the z closure spacers and installing them with some bigger bolts you can fit just about any speaker in your door, just as long as you shave some of the ring off were the bolt goes the door panel fits perfectly with a good amount of clearance.

IT IS NICE!

Also why did he fly you out to california for an install?
Because he likes how I solder and heat shrink wires and I take my time on a install. The main reason was that I have already worked on 3 370z's and the installers out there have not touched one yet.

Been waiting to see an install on one of these cars. Good job

Suprised you guys' didn't opt for a FG enclosure since he was all about the wieght savings. Anyways it looked like a good time

all componant installs should be soldiered and heat shrunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

...at least I do.

as for the enclosure, why not just opt for a prefab one? It looks idential to yours.
