huh yeah i could use some free crap but its not my amp its my friends and he is out of town and left me with his vehicle to install everything so im not really familiar with all his equipment and manuals so thats why i was askin

Well most (good) amps all have subsonic phasing high pass low pass filtering etc....

Mostly likely if the amp you bought only has 1 knob, (gain)

subsonic filter- in the manual it says to "you an set the amp's CROSSOVER MODE selector to LOW PASS while setting the FREQUENCY KNOB to 80-100HZ (12o'clock position)

who said i bought an amp? i have been out of the car audio world for about 5 years and havent bought anything and am not familiar with all the new stuff and my friend asked me to install his while he is gone because he knows that i have done many many installs in the past (many years ago) so you got anything else you wanna try to make me feel bad about

after that set your bass boost to 0db and adjust the gain until you hear it start to distort then back down one notch. if it doesnt distort, keep it a notch or two from maxing it out and adjust the bass boost

subsonics should be above 20 Hz btw, as your ears can't hear shiesh past that (usually more like 23)
