He's well loved on the USAC forum.....what does that say about them?

i wouldn't say he is well loved but i see why he does his test that way.... if thats the way he started doing them continue that way so he doesn't have to retest all previously tested amps... sounds like niether side is willing to budge if "his way" only gets the peak rating then why not just say then we all know the "peak" rating of this amp... the people that are complaining and saying it's the wrong way then give us some of your own test results" the right way"

look i can see that the exact numbers cant be trusted but overall it tells what amps do better than others under the same situations.... Just dont trust the exact numbers...

well the way jeff does his clamp method is a correct and effectful way of testing consistently...............we normally dont care too much about power but mainly impedance rise.....if rise is too low amp goes into protect, you have issues etc. it gets you close enough....i know when i am clamping my amps and i get a reading below what the amp does its power out it protects.......

and it must be close cause when my clamp says .9 ohm on rise my amp protected....but when its right at 1.0 ohm its stays together so must not be too far off

i think their is alot of hatred because... you cant(unless your in extreme modified classes) go from one org to the next and compete with the same vehicle and win... Im in SB3 in usaci but if i went to Dbdrag, i would be in one of their Super extreme classes... and get my azzzhanded to me on a silver platter.

yeah, i heard rumors of Meca making an appearance a while back in Tx, well... i went and started learning the rulez... i new immediately i had to choose one or the other.... Or get 2 different vehicles.

If his testing keeps the real order of what amps are really more powerful how is it really a "bad test"? A point of reference is a point of reference not a quiz show answer.
