CA.com Mythbusters (PG RSD v Phase plugs)

And let 'em smoke dope beforehand, it heightens the concentration when listening to music.
Or distracts them from it...

Smoke them up an hour before they listen... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

It still comes down to a person personal opinion in music. Just because one person like the way a set sound doesnt mean anything to me. I thought I knew what good speakers sounded like until i heard a properly imaged and tunned set of rainbow platniums //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I almost shited myself...

Just goes to show how gullible people really are here.
What's gullible about a great pair of speakers that don't cost an arm and a leg?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I think the RSD's compare quite favorably to some of the more expensive comp sets out there. To me, they sound better than the CDT HD's I had with the 560 crossovers (which cost well over $400). Once you throw in the low price point, it's a win-win situation.

Subscribed...

I have the RSD's on order...

Hopefully they over-boner, I'll sell 'em for what I paid and turn a profit for a different set if I'm not personally happy with them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Also, you can't expect to just drop them in, and not tweak anything. Every driver will perform differently. You will need to most likely do some eq'ing/ xover adjustments etc..

My feeling is the MAJOR difference that will be noticeable is going to be in the tweeter. We all know or have heard about the "oMgz!! Amzng midbassss's" from the rsd - so you may not have a huge difference in midbass resposne....

Time will tell, nice idea.

yea every set will require a lil bit of tweaking.

yea the mid-bass is great but i also like the tweeter a lot as well. i have mine mounted on axis and they are very detailed and have good output at the same time.

To your post though, you ran the HD at 125rms per side which is far below what they like. 150rms is recommended and 175-200rms makes them really come to life. i am interested though in the comparison, and I may do one myself for my own opinion on the matter. but i think this is just another flavor of the month like so many others out there have come and gone. While they are good they still are cheap for a reason and don't always stack up to what people hype them up to.

Don't say that too loudly or you may suffer being called a douche or prick.

^oh boy. people shouldn't have any opinion against them or for them until they hear them properly installed. just like any speaker or sub or amp, you shouldn't comment until you have had personal experience.
