alright well to keep it short so that some people will actually read the thread here's the deal.

Currently i am running a pair of Rainbow Profi Vanadium Phase plugs passive in my jeep with 200 watts going to each side.

This particular set of speakers cost well over $500.

Currently the PG RSD 6.5's are getting quite the reviews from the people around the forum so i have a proposition for someone who is looking to buy a pair.

Apparently they can be had for close to $90 and what i would like to do is perhaps have someone buy a pair, i will pay to ship them to me at school, i was then going to swap them out with the rainbows and do a nice write up/ review about how when running passive a set of 6.5's costing $500+

my speakers were just nicely tweaked by Manny at T-Rex audio in CT so i will keep everything the same, ill drive around with different people at school listening to different types of music and getting different opinions.

after i am done i will either send them to the original purchaser, or in the case they sound as good or better than the Rainbows, give whomever buys them what they paid for them and sell the Bows.

if anyone can add anything or is looking to buy a set of RSD's feel free to post or PM or IM.....

i would pull mine from my doors and send them too you but then i wouldnt have any peekas //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

hopefully soon.... im not saying these are anywhere close to the best speakers out there but they are a **** good buy for $90... im wired up to try them active as soon as i can get my hands on an amp... should be interesting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

While hearing new sets of speakers is always great, this really isn't "busting" anything.
agreed but to the average consumer (all my friends at school) it should be interesting to see which they feel sounds better and does a better job reproducing music especially because there is such a price difference in these two sets.

Exactly. I don't feel that the RSDs will sound better than the Rainbows and I don't think that dvrmstrng will be switching his speakers permanently. We aren't trying to bust anything, we are trying to see if $90 speakers can compete even slightly with $500+ speakers. If they can, then the boner will be bigger than ever. If not, the boner may die a little. Either way, someone who has heard some great speakers will be able to give those who haven't a more realistic opinion on these hyped, inexpensive speakers.
