C2K vs. JL slash series - like apples and oranges...?

Well, I've read all the specs, and tried to understand the differences as best I could (please keep in mind while I have always been a big fan of car audio, this is my first real foray into having my own system designed and installed...), but I am still left wondering - what's the big difference, and what is the $1500.00 increase in price (300/4 vs. C2K 4.0) going to get me in the "real world", keeping in mind that the front channels will be driving a set of 165K2P's, and the rear channels will be bridged up to drive a 10W3v3 (JL's Stealthbox for the Ram Quad-Cab...)

Any and all thoughts, opinions, and explanations would be much appreciated.

The Zapco has more power (a lot more into the sub) but any sonic differences between the amps would only be found at high volume and would still be VERY subtle, consequently masked by road noise and speaker distortion. For still less than half retail on the Zapco you could move to the 300/2 and 500/1 combo from JL and totally negate any power advantage the Zapco would have.

agreed with helotaxi on this. the dfferences (if any) will be so small that it probably won't be heard in the horrible car environment. actually i wouldn't get either to run your system. if anything i'd get the jl 500/5 and bi amp your components. or just get a 450/4 and use the 75 x 2 for components and bridged the 150 x 2 to your subs.
