OP
They have worked great for me and plenty of others. Im sure they arent as good as XS or a true high quality AGM, but it beats having serious voltage drop and destroying your equipment IMO.I agree... Not with using XS but that UPS batteries are not the answer..just another band aid for everyone to try and save money.
Honestly, Why have multiple HEAVIER inferior batteries when you could have a few stronger batteries for around the same price and less weight? They have worked great for me and plenty of others. The bigger UPS batteries go for around 100-200 each, people usually buy multiples..same price?????????????
Where
and the bigger xs and kinetiks go fo 350-400 eachPeople focus on AH, that is something you should not focus on unless you are playing your music at low volume for a long time. You should really look at Cold Cranking amps, Cranking amps, or Short circuit amps. CCA is personally my favorite because it is a 500 amp draw over 30 seconds.. Which is what happens with car audio.

As I stated Up there ^ The Diehard plats are strong and you can get them for 250 that are just as strong as the d3100.. We tested them up against the diehards and the d3100's were only .01 louder on the TLand the bigger xs and kinetiks go fo 350-400 each
And I have tested a few c&d's againts d3100s and no difference at all...Numbers are nice, but real world performance>specsAs I stated Up there ^ The Diehard plats are strong and you can get them for 250 that are just as strong as the d3100.. As an example, I have a Schumacher CCA tester(not sure how accurate it is, but it is what it is I guess). After desulfating and charging my 21lb(26ah) C&D batteries and letting them rest for a full 2 days to return to their 12.7V resting voltage, I measure 425CCA's with the Schumacher tester. That is higher than an XS D680 and nearly twice as much as an Odyssey PC680.People focus on AH, that is something you should not focus on unless you are playing your music at low volume for a long time.
