Easy. Get the button or switch connected to Ground and to the handbrake wire. You can even make a handbrake working alongside through the diode.

Please, tell me if your machine reads DIVX?

all you have to do is reverse power and ground wires to the HU.

i dont see anything about DIVX, just Windows media

yes. wire ground to power and power to ground. only if the battery is disconneted. and you have about 10 fuses on that hot line.

I wonder why in the world Pioneer made such a decision, if lower model (AVH-P4000DVD) has DivX support and your model does not...

Well i ended up going with the Switch method, it works great but i was just hoping it was a push the button on and leave it. instead you have to press the button everytime you put the DVD in. i wonder if you could tape the button down?

Sorry, I meant the button-switch. Did you make a handbrake circuit as well?

You can use the normal handbrake video activation when the switch is OFF.
