Bye circuit city!

I came close to buying a LCD TV from them today.
What size, I got a 42" Philipps, 1080p, and I love it. My Blu-Ray looks yummy and even the HD porn:crazy:, but yeah learn the in's and out of LCD buying and by attention to the ratio

Circuit city here sold me a .75 cube box for a sub that needs a 1-1.3 cube box, back when i didn't know what I was doing..

good riddance. i want my 70 bucks back.

***** for lost jobs though.

It was probably the exact one you just mentioned haha. 42 inch Phillips.

BestBuy has better marketing thats it. When ever we went and "shopped" the BB by my store our prices were almost always lower.

We also went "shopping for employees a few times and some of the **** the sales people would say was just embarrassing. I had a guy in the computer department try to sell me a "gaming computer" with on board graphics and no expansion slot...

lol. i aplied for an install position at CC recently. it was only after the 2nd interview that i found out about their company's financial situation. once i told them about working for best buy, they offered me everything under the sun to come work their. lmao. i turned down three different offers. the funny thing was, they told me "we can garantee a full time position with at least 37 hours for the next year." i just laughed and hung up. wtf.

and yeah i do work at bb but im not one of those retards that work at some of our other stores. there are quite a few very good installers at work for bb. they are just rare. lol.

I have a friend who used to work for Best Buy. He is a MECP certified installer and he got tired of doing warranty work for his incompetent co-workers. He went to a custom shop, then quit there because he got tired of fixing the owner's wanna-be-installer son's screw ups. Unfortunately, he is only 21 and doesn't realize that there is lots of money to be made in fixing other people's screw ups!

i work at there new concept stores called "The City" and they are doin pretty good. Its basically the same store but with better concepts and lay outs. We do alot better sales than the "Circuit City" stores. None of those stores are closing because there too new and are doin btter than the other. Im glad im not gonna lose my job, get paid decnt.

it just depends...
experience

how long u worked there

and productivitey
well i just started and i tried to ask in a thread that got deleted because apparently asking a real question isn't allowed in the lounge.

but i got hired, but no one will tell me what i get paid(i havent started yet, just filled out my hired paperwork and took my drug test, don't start for another week or so)... i have 5 years sales experience from electronics (AT&T wireless) to motorcycles to gym memberships to door to door, i've got a wide array of sales experience. im just curous what they start you at as long as your not a total newb
