buying used stuff

im about to buy a used memphis mojo 15 locally from a guy and i was wondering what should i keep a close eye on when buying used equipment? what are the main things to look for on subs? what about an amp?

im gonna hook it up and run it, and if it runs then its all good right?

A large part of what I use now I bought used, it helps when you buy locally and can hear what you're buying before you hand over the money. And you can inspect it far better than some pictures can show.
