Buying refurbished?

Do you guys trust ebay stores that sell refurbished stuff like subs and head units and such? I was wondering because this auction im lookin at says its refurbed by the manufacturer and it would save me a lot of money instead of buying brand new, heres the auction, would u guys trust this unit to be working like brand new, ive never bought refurb so im not sure?

ive never bought refurbed HU's but my L5 and kicker 400.1 were refurb and they worked fine. but i didnt get it from ebay

I bought my first L7 refurb'd from hifisoundconnection and worked for 6 months, until I sold it.

refurbished means they fix the problem that it originally had...if it was factory refurbished you should be fine

ive actually had better luck with refurb than new... again- factory refurb only, though

The way i see it... Refurb = They had to check that thing twice.

Refurbished means it was made like new again. Anything broken, worn, cosmetically flawed, or in need of maintenance was replaced, fixed, checked, cleaned, whatever...

A factory refurbished item should by physically identical to a brand new item

only person ive seen have trouble with a refurb item was an indash screen, but might have been a common problem, something with the gears for the motorized screen but it was touch screen so always getting pushed on and shit. it was a pioneer

I bought a factory refurbished Kicker kx2500 from HIFI Sound Connection. I had to send it to Kicker because it didn't work at all. Sounds like most people don't have any problems though.
