Im getting a new alternator tommorow. My stock is 90 amps the one im getting is 125 amps am i going to see a difference at all? My lights dim, rpms drop and sometimes my amp clips. I beleive my alternator is bad. When my car is ideling the voltage comming out of my batter should be around 13.5 volts right? Well mine stays at about 14.7 and the alternator never shuts off. Is this a sign of a bad alternator? Thanks alot!

alternators dont shut off...

higher voltage means tehres less load on the alternator, so your battery is probably shot...

higher current alternator will mean your revs drop even more, as you can pull more current from the alternator, which means it needs more power from the engine...

basically, it sounds like a new alternator will do nothing...
