Buying First Sub - 10 years later

I just nostalgia'd hard on the G&S Redlines.

Most important question is how much space do you have to work with. The few subs that'll really take 1500W continuous power and sound nice doing it are going to require some mounting depth and a good bit of airspace and port volume.

Chances are a modern high quality 12" in a solid ported box will outperform most pair of 15's sealed you heard 15 years ago on that power.

I'm pretty sure I can get 4-5ft^3 before port and displacement. I'm willing to give up most of my trunk if necessary. 15"H will leave a 2" gap up top and 38" wide will leave a couple inches on each side. I mentioned the Redlines because of how low they went. IDK, I just want a lot of accurate bass.

15" version would also be acceptable

TC Sounds Axis 15Q1 15" Quad VC Subwoofer | 293-642

Won't be disappointed with TC subs. If you have deep pockets look to the LMS Ultra/5400 line.

XCON Series Sub Woofer

Solid build quality, a good all-arounder

Fi Q Series Sub Woofers | Fi Q Subwoofer

These are quite nice.

RE XXX is a great performer and the JL W7 shouldn't be ruled out (though W7 will fail quickly with more than 1200W). Wouldn't pay MSRP for either.
