Buying Complete Audio System, Suggestions Needed

Alright I'm getting a 1997 Civic for my birthday, and the first thing I plan to do is put in a kickass sound system. I know the different components I need, but I haven't bought car audio equipment before. Most of the people on these forums seem very knowlegable, so I'm hoping someone will give me some recommendations of brands for a deck, speakers, amp, and sub. And if you could give me what the specific model is then even better. Thanks a ton and please respond because I'm definately interested in what you have to say.

Hey whats up welcome to the board. The guys here are pretty knowledgeable and can help you out. They just need some information from you like how much space you are willing to give up, your budget, and what types of music you listen to and whether you want it to be a sq system or an spl system.

Thanks guys. I have about $700 to spend but the cheaper the better because insurance and gas are a ***** these days. I listen to rap and rock but if I were to pick one that I'd probably play the most it would be rap by far. Im willing to give up quite a bit of space, if by that you mean trunk space. But yeah, I'm not going to get groceries in my car or anything so I have the space, but I'm definitely going to need a little bit left. And if it's worth mentioning, I'm more interested in sound clarity than system power.
