Ok, im looking to spend around $1500 on a new system for my car. I have a 2002 Toyota Celica GT with 8 speakers. After talking to a crutchfield sales rep for over 2 years here is what we came up with. I would appreciate your input! Thanks.

Im getting the subs from a etronics.com where i can get both of them for about $300. The guy recomended two amps to power the speakers to 100%.

Do you guys reccomend any changes to make it sound even better? Is getting 2 amps a good idea? I would very much appreciate any help you guys can offer! Thankyou very much!

Not a big fan of Audiobahn so I would look around for a better amp.

Also the box for that price you can have someone on here build you a much better one.

first, save a lot of money by buying your wiring from knukonceptz.com

second, dont get audiobahn amps, and only get 1 to power both

third, might want to get a small 4 channel amp to power your speakers.

for the sub amp i suggest an amp that does ~1200 watts at 1 ohm. you can also save a ton of money from buying off of ebay.

nothing wrong with those subs just buy a kicker 1200.1 amp for them off ebay, or a fosgate power 1000 amp. both are under 300 on ebay

edited. sorry didnt realize you were only willing to spend 150 each on subs. In that case, you might want to check out a pair of Incriminator Audio 187's. Can be had off http://www.low-hz.com for $100 a piece.

Don't get those Audiobahn amps. Stay far, far away from anything Audiobahn. I'd bet those won't put out 600W. For the money, get an Elemental Designs Nine.1. It'll put out 1200 watts @ 12.5v, most car's electrical systems put out 13.5v+, so you'll get more then 1200 watts.

Have Sounddomain price match the subs from etronics. They've done it before, not sure if they're still doing it or not. That way you'll be buying them from an authorized dealer.

Box:

Have someone on here build you one or learn to build it yourself. Those boxes from crutchfield are $109 each, you could probably build your own for 30-50$.

Either go with a Knukonceptz 1/0 kit or buy a Kicker 1/0 Hyperflex kit off ebay. I have the Kicker kit and it's great, came with everything I needed. It's about $100 shipped.

The one you've picked out seems to be fine. I've never used it, but I'm sure someone else on here has, so they might be able to comment on it. I found it on onlinecarstereo.com for $189 w/Free shipping, but for $10 you might as well just buy it from Crutchfield.

Speakers:

Are you planning on replacing all 8 speakers in your car? Most people just replace the front stage and leave the rear alone. It all depends on how you like it to sound. MB Quart and Rainbow are some good brands to look at.

Wow man! Thanks for all the help! The reason im getting the headunit from crutchfield is because it comes with the adaptors for free..

Would the Elemental Designs Nine.1 Amp be better than the Kicker 1200.1? Also where would i go to get a box built and why would it sound better? The box that i bought it supposed to fit it perfectly, just kinda wondering why a custom box would sound better... But if it does, where would i go on this site for someone to make me one?
