thinking lanzar optidrive or cadanance.

suggestions?

have a 185rms x 2channel xplode, 50w rms x 4chan alpine (100w x 2chan) or a 50w rms x 2 channel optimus too choose from, so theres some leeway.

buying these tonight or tomorrow morning, quick help would be appriciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I've had a good experience with Cadence in a previous set up, So I purchased some Cadence CVL-5K components, and Cadence CVLS553 for my newest setup. I chose these due to the Mid Bass Specs. the components state they play down to 45 hz, ... will be running them on a Polk Audio 4 ch with 100x4 RMS. Should be installed within a couple of weeks.

Got them installed today.

took me 3-4 hours, my first front speaker install ever. I made it happen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the speakers sound good, i need too figure out a way too remount the tweeters too face the driver and passanger seat tho. Im powering them with my Alpine MRP-F250, seperate channels (1+2). my gain is little over half way up, and when u turn my HU up (36+ out of 40) it distorts. Now im not sure if they just need too break in, or if my alpine pushes more then what it says, but technicly, its rated at 40w rms per channel, those diamonds should take that just fine with the gain full blast...

ideas?

I dont know much about sterio stuff, im just teaching myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

^agreed. you need to understand all of those. wiki is a good place to start. the distortion is because your amps are too small and you're trying to get too much output from them - don't do that. live with the output you have and buy a larger amp when money permits.

i can either bridge my alpine 4chan too 100w @ each speaker or use my 185w rms 2chan xplod

if the 50wrms isnt enough... which it should be...

i played with my highpass filter a bit, and got a little more volume out of em.

any idea on 6x9's with nice midbase that i can run off my HU or a 50w rms x2 channel amp?

Well Alpine is definitely a lot cleaner than the xplod.
also, should i try running my diamond audio's bridged on my alpine at 100w rms each, test it out with the gain all the way down?

or will that deffinatly over power them?

Well, I really like my Alpine Type-R 6x9's, but so far hate their components. And if you test your diamond audio's make sure you start with the gain all the way down, which you should do even if your speaker is a 200 RMS speaker. I'm not familiar with diamond audio so I couldn't tell you from experience but just make sure that you listen for distortion, and once you hear it, turn the gain down a hair. But test your speakers at the loudest level you will be listening to them at, if you don't, than your speakers may sound great at a low volume, but when you turn them up, they will distort. THAT I know from experience lol
