burning glue smell

ok but if i turn the bass boost down it wont bump as hard... so that means i'll have to turn the gain up to like 1/2 way cuz now its at like 1/4 right?

No. Set the subwoofer level on your HU as you desire and then set the gains without the bass boost.

HU could be turned all the way down, and the gain could be set, and it will set the same as turning the HU up and setting it. The amp will be putting out the same voltage either way, the gain will just be in different places.

how rarley is music recorded @ 0dB?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Then and ONLY then would you get rated power from your amp. If you use reduced tones, where music is recored @. You should recieve rated power for music.

I had a big debate here. Take if with a grain of salt, but Dave Navone sys that ALL high end systems have the 3:1 gain ratio.

ok i turned my bass boost on my amp all the way down and the gain is still where its always been at, but i dont know what to set the subwoofer level on my HU to, i heard to set it till i hear distortion, then turn it down a little, but i have no clue what distortion from a subwoofer sounds like
