It means you will need to properly set your gain, not just guess... And if it isnt loud enough when properly set, then it is time to upgrade.ok but if i turn the bass boost down it wont bump as hard... so that means i'll have to turn the gain up to like 1/2 way cuz now its at like 1/4 right?
No. Set the subwoofer level on your HU as you desire and then set the gains without the bass boost.ok but if i turn the bass boost down it wont bump as hard... so that means i'll have to turn the gain up to like 1/2 way cuz now its at like 1/4 right?

If you dont have a test tone CD get a good song with a steady bass like "Throw it up" by LIL JON or "da blow".
yeah, only if you like only getting a little power out of your amp.I wouldnt use that... To do it properly you should use 0dB test tones.

Try reduced test tones. -3dB, -6dB, -10dB...
