So I had this power acoustic 7500 watt monoblock hooked up to a single 12" 3000 watt skar worked great for almost 2 months...until it didn't lol. Was wired 1 ohm never normally got hot all the sudden it blew the shit out of a capacitor and smoke others. Was this because of cheap components?

I'm not an amp guru by any means. But when a capacitor fails it's normally from incorrect current, too much resistance, or overheating. I have my sfb600 tuned for 500w and the gain is a hair less than a 1/4 for the required volts. The location of the gain knob means nothing to volume, you want correct power short of clipping. You probably already know this, just wanted to throw it out there.

Ok great that's what I'm looking for I have basic knowledge just want to know what happened so I don't do it again so ever suggestion helps!

I'm just dipping my toes in the water just passed the toy subs and amps I always had. This higher power new shit is all foreign to me lol. Previous subs and amps around 300-500 watts been looking for a bit more these days
