i cant imagine having a more dense more durable, better looking, more solid box wouldnt make a difference, it just wouldnt make sense
dude... sealed its not gonna sound any different than mdf as long as both enclosures are sealed properly.
Now if they were both ported mdf and bullet proof glass.
The Mdf's wood would probably resonate better. resulting in most likely being louder.
im sure its been done beforeyou think? im hoping i dicovered sumthing new tho, lets all hope for the best and find a louder way of box building!

ya. It may work better for your car. Have fun experimentingI accually made it hoping im not the only one with a glass box tho, i was hoping som1 has tried it b4, but i AM listening, so far more people have said it will sound the same or better, only like 1-2 have said it wouldnt, im just hoping the better half is right ya know?
what clear compound would i use tho?I think it would be better to have a Clear window in a mdf box... altho I am interested in seeing this..and ur a carpenter eh? then let someone send u a simple ported plan and u do that outta ur glass...and I 2nd the 45 degree cuts and clear compound.. it would look much better than the screws jutting into ur material
