Built my first box today and it's ported

I've fondled plenty of wood. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Huh Huh, he said fondled WOOD Hu Huh (Sounding like Butthead)

Yeah yeah...fondling wood RULES!! (Sounding like Beavis)

Nice box man!

Wonderful job! Only suggestion I would make is to paint the port area black, you can probably still tape it off well enough and hit it with a few coats from a spray can, it would be the finishing touch imo. Otherwise, good stuff, I've not seen something that well put together in a long time, barring some work from fishercustoms.....

Edit: REALLY nice looking truck btw, I've always liked blazers! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yea I plan on painting the port black. Trying to do stuff the week of Thanksgiving when you are having 20 people at your place makes it tough to get things done, and then there is the day job.

Very nice job!! Only took like 2 pics to tell this may be your first box but definitly not your first time working with wood. Oh and for that table saw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif That thing must make building something like these seem like a cake walk. I love the rabbited joints too, that thing must be rock solid. And the flush mount with the amp is really clean. Same with the blazer too not too over the top but just plain sexy.

Definitely not the first time with carpentry. We build custom cabinets and furniture among other things. This was the easiest thing I've done in a while.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I was about to day, first box? Maybe. But you've obviously been working with wood for years.

Been busy but here is a pic of everything in, painted, and ready to go.

I also managed to fab up some brackets to run dual alternators in my 03 Blazer. Could be a first, but I'm not sure.

dual alts definitely isn't a first...and you don't even need 2 alts anyways with the power you're running. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Don't get me wrong I've built a few boxes myself and I love doing it and it would've been preferred. But I now live in a one bed room apartment...

I would face the port and sub back. Even if you got a soft top, the rear gate will serve as a loading wall. I looked at the specs for the 10w6v3...

Just trim strands until it fits. Then put some heat shrink or electrical tape on it.
