i bought a bunch of particle board today to build an enclosure for my 2 10" mtx road thunder subs. the subs are 200 watt max and 100rms. i want to make a dual sealed enclosure and need a good idea on dimensions. i was given an idea on here earlier about it being 14.5Hx36Wx16D would this work? and if so can you tell me the dimensions of the 6 boards i would need to make it?

thanks!

Those were just some GENERIC measurements from one of my PRE-BUILT boxes that I build here and keep in stock.....Its a 2 12" ported box......It may not work with your subs.....I think Pro-Rabbit said your subs work better in a sealed enclosure....

If those will work in about 1 cube each sealed a 3/4" mdf box with the following outer dimensions 14"h x 34"w x 12"d would net you just over 2 cubes total after some sub displacements....Hope that helps

haha you found me! yes nobody was replying on my old post so i had to put up a new one. plus i was kinda in the wrong place for advice on the subject i needed... anyway yes i understand that, im planning on using your dimensions.. but just not porting it. but that would leave me with a lot of space inside and the i dont know how that would effect the waves bouncing off each other.... im planning on making a double chamber enclosure. but i just need some dimensions that have been proven to work for 2 10" subs with the ****** power output mine have.

Do not use those larger dimensions as a SEALED enclosure.....It will kill the output on those subs....The AVERAGE 10" sub will do great in 3/4 to 1 cube sealed....The second enclosure dimensions I gave you should do a lot better...

so if i use those dimensions i will have about 1-1.5 cubes per chamber? cuz thats the recommendation for a 10" sub which would work out perfectly. im gunna go on autocad and type these in and do a little math to see the dimensions of each board. thanks very much!
