Building my first box, and I've got a few questions.

I am currently building my first box, a ported box, bout 4.25 cubic feet. Anyways, I've got a few questions.

First, do I need a brace? It is all one big open space, that will hold 2 12'' MA Audio subs. I thought I would, but now that i built it, I don't know...

Second, should I put silicone around the terminal cups, inside the box? Or do I just screw it in?

I would brace it. A great way to brace and take up minimal space is using threaded rod. Siliconing around any place that has the potential for an air leak is a great idea.

Thanx man. Would it also work to use two "pillar" like supports, using some 3/4 MDF?
