Building built-in Box in 97 Grand prix

I have a 1997 Grand Prix GT. Its 4 door and in the middle of the backseat theres the fold down console with trunk access. I want to make a built-in box for it but Idk what dimensions I should have or what. What I was thinking was putting the sub towards the bottom of the trunk access and then a rectangular port hole towards the top.

Ill upload some drawings later tonight on whats going on in my head.

Ok Nevermind, LOL.

I just went out there and looked at it, scratched my head, and went b ack inside lol. It would be too hard and time consuming... so Ill just keep it in another box.

ya are trunks are pertty big but just the opening screws us over. and even if you remove the back seat to put the box in your not getting more than 14 inches tall in with out cutting some metal.

I wonder if my trunk is a little wider? My enclosure is 15in tall and just fits in without killing my self.

my box in there now is 15.5 tall and 20 deep and ill say i had to bend some of the medal around the trunk to get it in there. maybe if it was not as deep but since it is deep it was hard to get in there. but shit if i wanted to get 4 cubes in there i had to.

i think you trunk opening better.

ya same here mine is 36 wide 20 deep and 15.5 tall and it barley fit. if it was a inch deeper in think it would not of fit.

04+ grand prix ftw. i just bought an 05 gt, and the backseats fold down all the way, and the max dimensions i can fit in there are 18x35x35 . should be able to fit my 7 cubes pretty easy im hoping.

ya the leather ones are nice. i'm thinking of swapping in a 04+ seats into my car. the seats will fold down with that but still there's some medal in the way that id have to cut to get a big box in there which i would not want to do.

yeah mine are all leather, and i love them. very comfortable

Well my 97 is all leather. but i do wish the seats folded down... Although its only as simple as 4 bolts to take the entire backseat out.
