Building a Ported box, need help tuning it

Max ratings are useless especially sony ones. 1200 would pop that sub even if it was only taking it for 2 seconds. RMS is the only thing to compare by. and the 1000watt sony does about 140x2 I had one. So you have 300 watts RMS if you ever want to upgrade know that a real 600-1000watt RMS mono amp will be much more power.

My 6 1200 watt xplods bottom out with my zx.1500.1 amp not even half way up

Yeah Im just saying that if your thinking about upgrading you dont need a 2000 watt amp just a real amp that does 600-1000RMS
