Oz Audio? Never heard of them...anyone have any background about them?

You can check them out at http://www.ozaudio.com... its the matrix elite series of subwoofers, basically their flagship.

When the SE seemed like it was perfect for my application, I spent a little more time asking around, and a highly respected board member here recommended this woofer to me..

So I stirred a few fights about this woofer, found out a lot more about it... put all my nuts in one basket... and ordered it.

When I told my friends I bought a new sub and that it was Oz Audio... they were like "wtf!? you don't know what you're doing man..."

Then after I installed it they were just like "****nnn.." (bunch of JL freaks) So I'm really happy with it to say the least.

Do your research though, ask around... sometimes you have to try something new that barely anyone else has to get the results you want...

so get a 12" SX with a Hifonics bx1000d amp? that would run me almost $500, what do you think of that setup?

That would be a great setup. Just make sure you have a 1 ohm load for that amp, I do no know what the coils are on the SX.

I assume they are dual 2ohm coils, just like the XXX, as Ive been told they use the same voice coil. If thats the case, it will wire up to 1ohm mono and mate to the HIfonics just fine.
